Preparation for 1st Reconciliation

Celebration of 1st Reconciliation:

•The celebration of Reconciliation is on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the church.
Preparation for 1st Communion
There is one Family Session:

•Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. in the Activity Center.

Dress Code:
-
•Girls: white dress & shoes.

•Boys: dark slacks and shoes, white or light colored shirt, & a tie. Suit or blazer optional but suggested.
Group Picture & Social
All the First Communicants for the spring of 2013 are to gather in the main church wearing their dress clothes for formal group pictures.

•Any religious items are to brought to this gathering to be blessed.

•Group Picture on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Church. Social afterward in Bixman Hall (church building).

Seating & Procedures:

•The children will process in with the celebrant, bow to the altar, and proceed to their reserved pews, the first on one side of the main aisle.
-
•The children will offer the gifts of bread, wine, and any other items on behalf of the community at the Offertory.

•When the time comes to receive Holy Communion, the celebrant will invite the children by name to come forward. Standing side by side on the top step of the sanctuary, facing the altar, the children will receive first the Host from the celebrant, then Chalice. After all have received Holy Communion, the children will return to their pews.

•Before the Post-Communion Prayer and the Final Blessing, the children will be asked to stand and acknowledged by the community.

•Photography will be allowed during the entrance and recessional processions. The celebrant will be available for pictures after Mass. THERE IS NO PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED DURING THE CELEBRATION OF THE MASS.

•One pew will be reserved for your family on one of the two sides of the main aisle. It will be marked with a family banner so that everyone will know where they will sit. Other members of your family, as well as friends, are welcome to use the unreserved seating throughout the church.
